This post was supposed to be about other Russian adoption blogs but I've made an executive decision: I will not spend the next 2 hours on the computer playing around reading blogs. I will post what I need to post and get on with it. Maybe later in the week I'll report on those blogs. Any suggestions for me?
Here's the deal: I have some deadlines coming up and I have about 8 real hours left in my week (and yes, I know it's only Tuesday but I have many commitments this week that will take me away from the one spot I need to be: in my desk chair) and I need to get on it. I need to be as efficient and effective as possible. I may also be starting a job someday soon so it's especially important that I reach my goals today...cause I sure won't be meeting them tomorrow!
How will I meet my deadlines? The same way you, dear reader, met your paperwork deadlines when you were on the track to adoption: one notarization at a time.

I posted about this before, in my "Bird by Bird" post (which I cannot find right now, but it was about Anne Lamott's brother's school report on all the birds of California - he managed this gargantuan task by doing it one bird at a time. Anne Lamott is a writer, by the way.)
If I treat this like we treated our adoption it is entirely doable. Looking at those dossier requirements is completely overwhelming, if you only look at them in their entirety. Looking at my to-do list is overwhelming, too. But if I break it down - or if you break down your dossier - into one thing at a time...you can do it.
I can do it, too.
