Russian "Love" stamp (c) Designs from the Heart.
Confession! I do not stamp or scrapbook. Well, Big J has a scrapbook that goes up until he's 6 months old and Little J has a box in which all of his stuff that I've always
meant to put into a scrapbook goes...er, um, er...this is a bad mommy moment.
Anyway, I don't know if I'll ever get into the full-fledged scrapbook thing, but I obviously need to get off my flat behind and get something going for both of these boys. I also, of course, have a copy of Beth O'Malley's
Lifebooks, which she kindly sent me when I started writing this blog...6 months ago.
Are you noticing a pattern here? Speaking of patterns...I have curtains to make.

Agh! Obviously, I have too much on my plate at the moment to start up a new hobby but I LOVE the way that stamped cards and artwork and embellishments look. I love it so much, in fact, that I'm in the process of hiring a stamp artist to illustrate my third book! We are trying to work out some kinks in terms of copyright, but I've had a busy morning looking around on the net at fun rubber stamp companies. Really, we are looking for general images, but I have found that there are lots of really cool ones specific to adoption and also to Russia.
Here are some possibilities, in case you're a better mom than I am and you actually WILL do the scrapbook thing:
Designs from the Heart has a sweet little collection of
adoption/diversity stamps, and they also have 3 Russian language stamps.
Sellos Foreign Language stamps has a
few Russian language stamps.
Addicted to Rubber Stamps has a
very fun collection.
Echoes des Voyages has some
fancy, embellished stamps.
Here's a
slightly larger selection from Scottish Border Stamping.
