My 6 year old loves to be in charge of making mashed potatoes and ice cream. My 9 year old thought I was nuts for making my own mozzarella, but he had some of the commercial stuff the other day for lunch and later confided in me that ours “was much better.” I urge everybody to read Barbara Kingsolver’s “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” and get the mozzarella kit from New England Cheesemaking Supply Co.

I made my own baby food too! It was a lot more fun than I thought that it would be…I actually miss making it.

My home too! I don’t wanna put crap into my kids bodies. Only the Good stuff.
My mom couldn’t understand why I make my own baby food and then she heard about the Gerber recall.
